About Leila Press
Leila Press is an invitation and stationery design company,
specializing in the art of letterpress printing. Lifelong
friends Janet Steele and Sujin Yoon officially launched
the company in the beginning of 2006, but it has been
in the making for the past three years. Both ladies
come from corporate marketing backgrounds, but have
always desired to express their creativity alongside
their business and marketing expertise.
While planning for her wedding, Janet discovered the
beauty of letterpress. Janet’s love for letterpress
and Sujin’s love affair with anything artistic
became the inspiration that blossomed into Leila Press.
The west coast duo purchased a vintage printing press
in 2005, which currently operates in their studio in
Mill Valley. With a growing list of clients and fans,
Leila Press has been busy spreading the beauty of
letterpressed invitations and stationery. Their enthusiasm
for the craft, dedication to their clientele, and an
excellent eye for design is what keep their clients
coming back for more.
Janet is also a member of the Mill Valley Art Commission
and frequently volunteers at the San Francisco Center
for the Book. In her spare time, Sujin pursues her passion
for photography. She can be found taking photos of still
life, portraits and nature.

About Letterpress
Letterpress printing can be traced back to the fifteenth
century. Images and text are pressed into the paper,
resulting in a beautiful end product. Each piece of
stationery is carefully run through the antique press
by hand, making it a truly unique work of art.

Our Philosophy
Leila Press is dedicated to making each invitation and
piece of stationery the highest quality possible. Our
products are designed to be touched and felt, leaving
a lasting impression. In an age where time moves faster
than a click of a mouse, Leila Press helps to properly
celebrate the moments in our lives.
